(a poem)
I wish to reach you with outstretched arms
To cradle you to sleep
As we bid goodbye to daylight
No fruitful lands nor untouched paradise
Will ever rid me of my desire
To grace upon your open shores once more
I could not cry enough to match your silent screams
Respondent to the shame and grief
My kin have brought upon you
Forever changing the landscape
Forever shattering dreams
And to find you again,
Sinilangan,
Is to look deeper into one's soul
For I know change is for the willing
Spread through by the voices of far fetched idealism.
